The first mass indictment for seditious conspiracy, 1942
Seeing as how DC proved a valid venue for the conspiracy sedition indictments and trial, 1942-1946, in part because Washington Post investigator Dillard Stokes had solicited printed matter from several of the defendants, a reading of related WaPo articles is in order.
Again, as with the PM Daily material, these articles have not, to my knowledge, been indexed and so knowing where to dive in is tricky.
Also again, the Washington Post is available via Fulton History https://www.fultonhistory.com/Fulton.html
I ran across an interesting introduction to WaPo coverage of the affair, their announcement of the first indictment, July 1942.
Apart from the more common wire service reports, the WaPo article goes into some detail about the publications called before grand juries and cited in the first indictment, even though some editors, authors and individuals associated with the named agencies were not. I found that odd.
Brush up and I will use some of these descriptions as the jumping off place for some of these even more obscure than the first indictment individuals. Stay tuned.
